Sports Stadium Management Pty Ltd (SSM) is a solely and wholly owned subsidiary of Basketball NSW (BNSW) which prides itself on providing best practice within the Industry for not only basketball competitions but the complete portfolio of Sports Facility Management. In the Facility Management space, our aim is to assist local Councils and Associations to manage and operate their Indoor Sports Facility, relieving them of non-core business activities to allow their people and volunteers to focus on promoting and developing the overall growth and success of your sport. At Sports Stadium Management, our goal is to provide you with a facility management service that will increase efficiency and effectiveness of the Facility while also reflecting the image you aspire to create. Using our expertise and market knowledge, we will deliver an efficient, professional service that is specifically tailored to your needs. This has proven to be successful through the integration of our Sports Stadium Management team with association staff, enabling a seamless day to day operation and freeing up your staff to focus on and prioritise what really matters to your association.

Founded in 1938, Basketball New South Wales (BNSW) is the governing body of basketball in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Over the past 7 decades, BNSW has grown from just 4 member Associations at its inception, to 63 Associations today. Encompassed within these member Associations are approximately 50,000 registered members. In addition to registered players, BNSW’s membership is made up of referees, coaches and administrators. BNSW’s active members range in age from as young as 4 years old up to the grand old age of 81. Basketball NSW member Associations range from Albury on the Victorian border up to Ocean Shores on the Queensland border and as far west as Griffith. Of the 63 Associations, 14 are within the Metropolitan area. Those Metropolitan Associations contain half of BNSW’s registered members with the remaining members spread across 49 Country Associations.

Glenn Gooding

Glenn is an experienced Facility Manager with over 20 years’ experience working in the sports facility management industry. Glenn has a proven track record in the management and delivery of optimal operating sports facilities and his background includes balanced business experience including holistic facility management, financial accountability, administration including team, competition & event management, executive management including team leadership and relationship management.

Glenn was recruited by Basketball NSW to head up Sports Stadium Management Group to establish, develop and grow Basketball NSW presence within the Sports Facility Management market space.

In this role, Glenn not only continues to oversee the operation of the multiple facilities that SSM operate, but is also assigned the responsibility for the development and growth of the business.

Prior to joining the BNSW and SSM team, Glenn worked with a number of sporting organisations and local governments and held the senior role of Operations Manager Basketball ACT and Senior Facilities Manager with Sutherland Shire Council. These roles have provided Glenn the benchmark experience to work with both the local government sector and with state sporting organisations.

Glenn’s goal is to assist SSM to further support local Councils and sporting associations to operate their sports facilities in turn allowing them to re-direct their focus on their core business objectives.
